Local Event Score offers an API that lets another company plug our event intelligence directly into their own platform—so their users can see upcoming local events + predicted traffic impact without leaving their dashboard.
Instead of building event discovery, categorization, scoring, and filtering from scratch, they simply call our API using a store address (or zip code), and we return a structured list of events with an Impact Score and supporting metadata.
When a dashboard sends a request (ex: “Show me events near this store location”), the API returns:
Upcoming events near the location
Event details (name, date, type, description)
Impact Score (how likely it is to influence foot traffic)
Impact reasoning (why it’s scored that way)
Optional filtering by:
persona (individual, family, traveler, etc.)
interests (music, food, sports, etc.)
date range
events vs places mode
language (English / Spanish)
business mode impact scoring (retail-focused)
Once integrated, a partner can display Local Event Score inside their own UI, like:
1) Location “Event Impact” widget
A card showing the top 5 events this month that could move traffic, with score badges (High/Med/Low).
2) Calendar + export experience
Events populate a calendar view and can be exported, saved, or added to a trip planner.
3) Staffing & marketing alerts
“High-impact event this Saturday → adjust staffing / run ads / extend hours.”
4) Performance context layer
When traffic spikes or drops, users can see why (local events, disruptions, etc.)—reducing guesswork.
The API turns an address into event-driven foot-traffic context—so any dashboard can show what’s coming, what it means, and how to prepare.
The Local Event Score endpoint analyzes upcoming local events near a specified business address and assigns each event an Impact Score — a predictive indicator of how likely that event is to influence customer foot traffic at that location.
It transforms raw event listings into actionable retail intelligence.

The Event Score API returns a list of upcoming events near a specified location, including event details such as name, date, type, description, an Impact Score indicating its potential influence on foot traffic, and reasoning behind that score.
The key fields in the response data include "events" (an array of event objects), each containing "name," "date," "type," "description," "impact," and "impactReason," providing comprehensive insights into each event's relevance.
Users can customize their requests by specifying parameters such as "persona" (e.g., individual, family), "interests" (e.g., music, food), "date range," "events vs places mode," "language" (English/Spanish), and "business_type" for retail-focused scoring.
The response data is organized in a JSON format, with an "events" array containing individual event objects. Each object includes structured fields for easy access to event details, impact scores, and reasoning.
The data is sourced from various local event listings, community calendars, and partnerships with event organizers, ensuring a diverse range of events that reflect local interests and activities.
Typical use cases include enhancing retail strategies by identifying high-impact events for staffing adjustments, marketing campaigns, and understanding local traffic patterns in relation to community events.
Users can utilize the returned data by integrating it into their dashboards to visualize upcoming events, assess their potential impact on foot traffic, and make informed decisions regarding staffing and marketing efforts.
Data accuracy is maintained through regular updates, validation against multiple sources, and quality checks to ensure that event details are current and relevant, providing reliable insights for users.
